TRAVEL COMPANION
LET’S EMBARK ON A GREAT ADVENTURE
Hi! I’m Kevin.
I’m 41 years old, Swiss, currently living near Geneva, Switzerland. My favorite city in the world is Barcelona Spain. I speak French, English, Spanish and German. I have a MBA from ESADE Business School. Apparently kind! Capable to be funny! Ambitious : want to accomplish something. My hobbies are photography, traveling, aviation, skiing, hiking, etc.
In 2010, I suffered an illness called ”Meningoencephalitis”. It is a serious Brain Injury. I recovered relatively well, but I do carry some important aftereffects that will most probably last my lifetime.
One of my dreams was to travel the world. Since my illness I have had the chance to undertake two trips around the world, to 47 countries. All along the way, I photographically documented my travels (See my photos and links below).
During my trips, I was able to define my true passion: TRAVEL PHOTOGRAPHY. I was an amateur photographer, but am now aiming to go to the professional level. Am currently undertaking courses and recently purchased my first real camera.
My vision, now, is to embark on a GREAT ADVENTURE, with a companion / collaborator. This person may well be you! This time, I don’t wish to just document our trip. My goal is to produce “Travel Photography” books, merchandise, fine art, etc. Of course, you will receive credit, as my collaborator.
This time, I want to visit the world in even more detail. It will be an intense trip, mostly in a Recreational Vehicle (Camper Van), and quite a bit on foot, walking and hiking. The trip I have planned is in three phases: Phase1 – one year – Africa; Phase2 – 3 years – from Canada to Argentina; Phase3 – several years – Asia. (Our RV associated travel expenses, will be my responsibility.) I have the route fairly well planned but I am open to discuss sensible changes. We will anyhow need to be flexible and adapt the plan as we go depending on the weather, how we feel, the general situation, etc.
I do not yet know exactly when it will be possible for us to start the trip. There are several factors to take into account. We will have to exchange and decide. It might take a couple of years before we start. We definitely need to get to know each other anyway. We can do some little trips together in the meantime.
Who are you? Here’s what I think would make for a good companion / collaborator:
I would really like someone to collaborate with before, during and after the adventure! If we are successful, as I’m sure we will be, exploiting the results of the adventure could very well mean, not only, shared credit, for what we produce, but some shared profits.
I’m really looking forward to hearing from you and meeting you! There will be much to discuss. Your drive and skills, together with mine, will make this truly A GREAT ADVENTURE!!

Who are you? Here’s what I think would make for a good companion / collaborator:
- A great personality ! I want to undertake a serious trip but I definitely also want to share other good moments.
- A passion for travel, meeting new people, exploring new cultures, at the most down-to-earth level:
- Good level of fitness. We will be spending a lot of time together, so getting along, well, is definitely important, as it will influence our whole trip and our work, together. We’ll also be doing a lot of our photography during the golden and blue hours, in the morning and evenings (“early to bed, early to rise”);
- I will cover the base costs related to the Camper Van, including the petrol, maintenance, shipping, etc. There will, naturally, be ancillary expenses to cover. My estimate is that they will be at least $1,500 per month (each) for such things as: health insurance, food, supplies, some equipment, visas (something for you to research, depending on your passport and our itinerary), fees, admission to parks, flights and hotel accommodations (if and as needed), International Driver’s License (as you’ll be doing most of the driving, caused by the aftereffects of my illness), and other things;
- If you have some combination of relevant expertise and experience in: Marketing, Publishing, Web Design, Facebook, Instagram and Photography it would be amazing also. That’s a partial list. When we get to know each other, we will have the chance to discuss more.
- It will cost less and less over time if we together succeed to promote the photography. If you are super talented, motivated and full of energy we will maybe even earn from it.
I would really like someone to collaborate with before, during and after the adventure! If we are successful, as I’m sure we will be, exploiting the results of the adventure could very well mean, not only, shared credit, for what we produce, but some shared profits.
